Veteran producer / remixer / engineer J. Chris Griffin's experience and credentials in many ways speak for themselves. His 20+ years in the music industry based out of both New York City and Nashville have garnered him production and engineering credits from A-list recording artists such as Madonna, Kanye West, Janet Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, The Killers, Missy Elliot, John Legend and many more. Having consistently charted several billboard top ten singles and countless other hit tracks, his clients have come to swear by his talents in tracking, engineering, mastering, and remixing radio-ready, professional music.
Chris' unique and diverse skill sets as a producer, engineer, sound designer, vocal coach, and live performer position him as one of the most qualified and talented people a recording artist can hope to work with. Aside from his studio credits, Chris has been one of the lead sound designers for Propellerheads Reason and Record (software applications that have become standard fare in virtually every desktop producer's arsenal), designing hundreds of synth patches, creating custom ReFills, and writing demo songs. Aside from his work with Propellerheads, Chris also personally designed two soft-synth packages distributed by M-Audio: “Premium Electric Pianos” and “Premium Vintage Keyboards.”
Additionally, Chris travels all around the world representing Digidesign, Sibelius and M-Audio as an artist / clinician. Recently he's appeared as a featured producer at the New York Propellerheads Producer Conference. He also appeared as guest presenter for Sweetwater as a featured producer/clinician at Remix Hotel NYC from (2005-2007), featured clinician for M-Audio at the Monterrey Jazz Festival (2007), main stage presenter for M-Audio at Winter NAMM (2005-2007), main stage host for M-Audio, Digidesign and Sibelius for Winter NAMM (2008), keynote presenter at Summer NAMM (2000) and Winter NAMM (2001), guest producer/presenter for M-Audio for the Scandinavian Luthman Tour (October 2007), and featured presenter and clinician for the M-Audio European Distributor Meeting in Prague, CR (September 2006).
Chris’ personal works as an artist can also be found throughout network television. Featured in prime-time shows in the US, Australia, United Kingdom, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Mexico, his sound is spread throughout the world. Some major programs featuring Griffin’s tracks are CBS’s NCIS, NBC’s Dateline and MTV’s Made. His prodigious performance on the saxophone has been featured on countless records and performed live for multiple US presidents.
